Paradise South is located adjacent to the Lady Loretta zinc mine owned by Glencore, approximately 130 km north west of Mount Isa. The mining lease for Paradise South has been granted by the Queensland Government.
Paradise South will be an open cut mining operation with mine scheduling completed to excavate up to two million tonnes of phosphate ore per annum over an initial 20 year mine life. The deposit has a total of 436.5 MT (JORC 2004) with a Proven Ore target of 129.0 MT and 35.5 MT of Proven Saleable Concentrate at 32.2%. The JORC 2014 Statement and Resource Upgrade currently being prepared indicates an increased size and quality of the resource that supports up to a 50 year mine life.
The Paradise South mine will include a processing plant onsite to produce the phosphate concentrate product ready for domestic and international markets.
1. Data is rounded to millions of tonnes. Discrepancies in totals may occur due to rounding.
2. Resources have been reported at a cut-off grade >=6.4% P2O5 within pit shell constraint 46 derived from pit optimisation conducted by AMDAD and based on a concentrate price of $276/t which is 20% above the Ore Reserve base case.
3. Table reviewed 2025.
1. The tonnes and grades shownin the totals rows are stated to a numberof significant figuresreflecting the confidence of the estimate. The table may nevertheless show apparent inconsistencies between the sum of components and the corresponding rounded totals.
2. MER means MinorElement Ratio = (MgO% + Fe2O3% + Al2O3%) / (P2O5%)
3. Fe_Al % = Fe2O3% + Al2O3%
