Paradise South
Paradise South is located adjacent to the Lady Loretta zinc mine owned by Glencore, approximately 130 km north west of Mount Isa. The mining lease for Paradise South has been granted by the Queensland Government.
Paradise South will be an open cut mining operation with mine scheduling completed to excavate up to two million tonnes of phosphate ore per annum. The Mineral Resource is estimated at 207 Mt at 14.4% P₂O₅, reported in accordance with the JORC Code (2012), supporting a long-life operation. Ore Reserves supporting 40 Mt of phosphate concentrate at 32.5% P₂O₅ have been estimated.
The Paradise South mine will include a processing plant onsite to produce the phosphate concentrate product ready for domestic and international markets.

The information on this page relating to the Paradise South Exploration Results and Mineral Resources is based upon, and fairly represents, information and supporting documentation compiled by Dr Michelle Mercieca (née Hough), who is a consultant to North West Phosphate Limited and a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG). Dr Mercieca has sufficient experience relevant to the style of mineralisation and type of deposit under consideration, and to the activities being undertaken, to qualify as a Competent Person as defined in the 2012 Edition of the Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (the JORC Code). Historical estimates. Resource estimates reported for the D-Tree and Paradise North projects were prepared and reported under the 2004 Edition of the JORC Code and have not been updated to comply with the 2012 Edition on the basis that the information has not materially changed since it was last reported. Estimates reported under the 2004 Edition are not reported as Mineral Resources in accordance with the 2012 Edition, and a Competent Person has not done sufficient work to classify them as such. It is uncertain that following further evaluation or exploration work these estimates will be reported as Mineral Resources in accordance with the 2012 Edition.
Mineral Resources are reported inclusive of Ore Reserves. Tonnages and grades are rounded, and totals may not sum precisely as a result. Rounding is not considered material.
